We know the state our world is in and YES!, there are so many beautiful, wonderful, incredible things to be happy and excited about.  There is also, however, a noticeable complacency in people, and the temptation to "look the other way" and refuse to help or care.  We mustn't forget those who are helpless, in bondage, enslaved, and for some, face heinous crimes every day.

The cause that burdens my soul is that of the evils committed against children.  There has been so much wrong done to these most-innocent, beloved little ones that I plead you would help me fight in the battle too protect them.  Although I am not affiliated with this group, please consider donating to The Demand Project, a non-profit organization committed to the Prevention, Prosecution, Rescue and Restoration of victims of sex crimes.

Their mission is this: "We will direct our efforts, resources and energy toward the eradication of sexual exploitation, with an emphasis on the sexual exploitation of children. Whether they’re victims of trafficking, forced prostitution, online enticement or child pornography—our mission is to end all sex crimes by targeting the DEMAND side of sexual exploitation."

"I shall look at the world through tears.
Perhaps I shall see things that, dry-eyed, I could not see."

-Nicholas Wolterstorff

"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy."

Psalm 126:5, NIV

Written on my Heart

This has been a long awaited for dream of mine and I'm so excited to see how far we can make it around the world!  I've been taking these pictures for years and the moment is finally here!!!  Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way, and to those who have generously shared their photos, showing me that this movement is already taking steps along this new found path.  I will forever remember Valentines Day 2015 when Hearts of Plenty enters the stage and blesses the lives of those who share in its vision.

Someone said the other day that their child's class needed different people's definition of love.  I thought that was an interesting project--how different people viewed love.  Can it be defined?  Can we define love ourselves?    The Bible says that love is patient, and kind, and keeps no records of wrongs... that God is love.  Often, the the most sincere love I've seen is when it is sacrificial, a gift given without a condition to be loved back or a favor returned.  It is true that the strongest things I've encountered in life are not physical; they are faith, hope and love.  Without faith, I can't hope; without hope I can't live; without love, I can't have faith.  Seeing heart shapes confirms in my life just how strong, and yet gentle, love can be.  Sometimes we easily let these small treasures pass us by.  But if you see a heart shape on your way through life, I encourage you to see it as more than just a natural encounter, but a purposed reminder that love is real, and that you are worth loving no matter who or where you are, and no matter what you've believed or been told.  And there are plenty of hearts out there that agree.~

My dear friend posted a picture on the 'Hearts of Plenty' Facebook page.  It was her and her man's anniversary and they went to the beach.  Her husband had been beach-combing and came across a beautiful heart-shape that was hollowed out of a small rock.  They took a picture with an amazing beach scene and sky as the backdrop (check it out!).  Looking at my collection of things I've found and pictures I've taken I see that many of the hearts found are rocks!  Either the rock is the shape itself, or there's a magnificent heart-shaped inscription.  It reminded me of God's love, and how solid it is...  like a rock.  These are just reminders, but God's true love for us is much more solid than a rock--it can NEVER break!  There is nothing in this world that is as unchanging, faithful, and strong as God's love for us.  If you don't know this love that is waiting for you, message me on FB or fill-out the contacts page... I would LOVE to pray for you.  Maybe it was this same love that brought you to this page, just so someone could pray for you.  My mom had a small sign on her work desk I remember seeing as a kid: coincidence is when God works miracles.  I think I've come to agree.
